The Farm Holiday “il Castelluccio” is found in Arezzo, in the natural heart of Tuscany. Farm Holiday Il Castelluccio is located at an altitude of 650 mt., among the natural hills of the Val Cerfone in the town of Arezzo in the Region of Tuscany.

The Farm Holiday is a structure typical to Tuscany in which you can find quiet moments immersed in the green of Arezzo’s nature, in Tuscany.
How to get here:

Farm Holiday il Castelluccio: From the Autostrada A1

Exit at the Arezzo toll booth, and follow for Arezzo, Sansepolcro and Città di Castello, SS 73.
After 7 km from Palazzo del Pero (which you will come across along the way, around 25 km from the autostrada), to your left you will see Molin Nuovo, a small village.
At Molin Nuovo, follow the state road strada statale 73 (SS 73), after 200 mt, turn left toward BADIA SAN VERIANO and TOPPOLE.
From the SS 73 there are 5 km of gravel road which unwinds on the hill until arriving at Badia San Veriano; the road is uphill, it is not illuminated, but it is large and easily passable. At the top of the hill you will find signs for il Castelluccio.

Farm Holiday il Castelluccio: From Cesena or Perugia SS 45

After the small town of LE VILLE don’t take the superstrada toward Arezzo, instead proceed in the direction PIEVE A RANCO, after about 4 km, turn right for BADIA SAN VERIANO, TOPPOLE.
From the SS 73 there are 5 km of gravel road which unwinds on the hill until arriving at Badia San Veriano; the road is uphill, it is not illuminated, but it is large and easily passable. At the top of the hill you will find signs for il Castelluccio.

Tuscany Farm Holiday

We are a family of farmers who are not just agritourists but who offer typical products from our mountains such as chestnuts, brown, honey, mushrooms, olive oil, wine, cereals and flour crushed by the stones of the family windmill.

The agricultural company is run by a family, there is Piero, Paola and the sons Daniele and Elisa.
Il Castelluccio was bought by the great grandparents of Signora Paola in 1900 and was passed down from father to son. Paola lived with Piero until she married him, he used to live in another farmhouse in the area.

The Castelluccio is not only a cottage that has been restructured in stone but also a very welcoming place. It shows the roots and history of the people that lived there and managed to survive not only war but also poverty and social conditions, it represents simple and warm hearted country folk culture and is based on real and true relations.
The creation of Agritourism has attempted to protect and respect the possible original traditions.
Il Castelluccio is a farmhouse constructed from the local stone, positioned inside a very small inhabited village with frequent visitors from the local area.
Historically there were reports of human settlements and the formation of numerous rural centres and defences after the Lombardian invasion that occurred around 575 ad.
There is no evidence but it is very probable that in ancient times il Castelluccio was a small castle defending what followed and came to be the present place name. The first reports that we are certain of is that a terroritory was well organized inside Badia (Badia San Veriano) up to 1095 d.C.
The stay in this Agritourism is ideal for those who want to spend a holiday harmonizing with the tranquility and harmony of nature. The children can run and play in total freedom, observing animals, unknown insects and make friends with animals of agritourism. If you want you can find everything combined, you can happily find a hotel with a restaurant offering delicious tables of food.
